[family: The Rest of the Gang ... ]

So.  This is pretty much a Part II from the last family post (you can see that HERE if you missed it) ... and such a fun post to put up ...

When I get such a large group, it means that we can do so many different groupings.  Some are more posed and necessarily so ... some are more creative ... some are candid.  Like this one ... three generations of ladies, including Trish - the birthday girl *grin*.

... yeah, and this one's of the guys *grin*.

We got the kiddies together with their mom.  Except, they're not so kiddie anymore *wink* ...

And the whole gang together ...  Cole and Abby held hands without even being prompted.  A brother and sister who get along?  Love that!!  *grin*

Ed wanted to look his best ...

... I guess it worked *grin*.

Then the grandparents needed a few pics with their grandkids ...

And a few more of the whole gang ...

Then there was Brad and Katherine ... remember them?  Of course you do ... I've been setting up a preview for this for a few days now *grin*.  Their wedding was one of my all-time faves, and their good looks are on the opening page of my RedHanded Photography site (you can see that HERE)

Brad was a pro ... and Katherine?  She really is full of fantastic personality *grin*.

Jeff and his wife, Diana, just took it all in - so easy going.  So great.

The birthday girl, herself.  Man ... I hope I look this good at 60.  Thems some great genes *grin*!

And Ed and Trish wanted their photo done with flowers in the background.  This, however, proved to be a bit of a problem when the store manager came out and pretty much asked us to leave.  But I managed to get a couple of pics in none-the-less.  And it all worked out, with a few laughs along the way *grin*.

Doing shoots with so many people can be daunting ... it can be chaotic and time consuming.  But not with this group.  We walked and talked ... while photos were happening with some, the others would laugh and talk, catch up on the little things that had happened that week.  They were so great to share their ideas, and work with the ones I had as well ... I really had a great time with this bunch.

So .. to all of you ... Ed, Trish ... Peter, Shelley & kids ... Jeff, Diane ... Brad, Katherine ... thank you for choosing me to capture your incredible family.  Shall we say, same time/same place next year?? *grin*.

[iheartfaces: White Challenge.]

iheartfaces threw out another challenge this week:  WHITE.  Yeegads and little fishes.   I always tell my clients to not wear white ... except for brides *wink*.

So.  this is the image I chose ... I'm entering it ... and it's a perfect liaison to tomorrow's blogpost.  This couple came back and got a few more pics done alongside their family ...

Come back y'all ... (I have no idea where the accent is coming from ... ).

[family: Peter, Shelley & Kids ... ]

Ok.  I usually start these blogs with a little, "... I was so excited to get an email from ... " and I go on about my giddiness and such.  It's all real - for certain - but when Shelley emailed?  Oh man ... I was super, duper excited *grin*.

Shelley, and her family of siblings, wanted to do a family photoshoot for their mom who was celebrating her 60th birthday.  So fantastic, and I leapt at it - even though it meant a Sunday morning shoot.  I must've been excited to miss church *grin*!

So, for this blog, I'm dividing up this shoot into two parts ... this one is specifically of Peter, Shelley and their kidlets.  That's where this story is going to start ...

Shelley.  Oh, I've known her forever.  I remember her at my old church as a preschooler, with her frilly dresses and infectious laugh.  And when my family changed churches, her family did the same just a few years later - and we ended up at the same church again.

I'm a few years older than her, but I remember her in Youth Group well - because I was dating a guy a few years younger than me *grin*.  Yeah, yeah.  Anyways ... Shelley was super creative, involved in drama and had a heart for worship.  She was a leader, and people would just naturally gravitate to her.  Everyone wanted to be her friend.

Shelley and I lost touch when she met Peter, her hubby now of 13 years, and time just ticked on by.  They had two children ... who are both pretty much taller than me now.  *wink*.

Brothers and sisters ... such a sweet dynamic.  And I just adored Abby's hair.  She's a real stunner.  And Cole?  A total stud *grin*.

We were in Fort Langley early on the Sunday morning - and it didn't exactly feel like August.   The trees seemed confused and where already shedding leaves.  But what was lacking in warmth from the sun, was made up with this lovely bunch ...

Then Peter decided he wanted to take a few pics himself.  And little did I know, I was also   unknowingly having pics of me taken with that phone.  A paparazzi in the making?  Perhaps *grin*.

As strange as it sounds, it was a little odd seeing Shelley all grown up with her family.  I mean, her kids are older than mine - she's actually ahead of me in the game now.  Watching her interact with them, and her family who was chirping behind me ... and meeting Peter ... seeing them all together.  It was just so great.  Their smiles and laughter were totally legit.

So ... this collection of images were taken amongst other images of other family members ... so this was more like a "mini" shoot ...

Peter, Shelley ... had so much fun with you and your precious family.  Thanks so much for choosing me *smile*.  Loved it.

And, just letting all of you readers know that I'm working on the rest of the images for the next blog post ... you're going to want to come back *grin*.  Remember THIS wedding??  Yup ... their super-smiles will be in tomorrow's post.

[kiddies: Katia Rose ... Aged 2.]

So ... this is a little self indulgent, I know.  But hey - I take pics of my kiddies too *grin*.  And since today is Katia's 2nd birthday, I thought I'd put a post up just of her ...

I took these pics a few weeks ago ... and I attempted to do a small photoshoot of her and her brothers today.  I have to say - she is IMPOSSIBLE to photograph.  She absolutely refuses to look at the camera, and I spend most of my time chasing her, calling her, begging her *grin*.  The boys think it's hilarious.  I think it's borderline entertaining ...

What a woman.

So ... for today's post, here are a few pics of my baby girl.

Enjoy.

I took a lot more ... but they are all of her running away from me.  She may be a bit of a  photographer's headache, but she's definitely a mother's treasure *smile*.
