[wedding: Brad & Katherine]

It's not often that you get so meet super cool people.  I mean, SUPER cool people.  People who are confident, fun, creative ... ready to get things going.

Brad and Katherine were just that.  Super cool.

Now, I have known Katherine since we were little girls ... and she was known for her frilly dresses and insanely mesmorising eyes.  But it had been a long time, and Katherine was full of glamour-edge now ... and her eyes, still mesmerizing.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect on the day ... but it didn't take long for me to feel right at home. Katherine's incredible laugh, and easy-going attitude made photographing her moments really fun.  And when Brad joined up with us after the ceremony, it was obvious why the two of them were so in love.  They just clicked - and watching them could only make you smile ...

We started out at Katherine's parent's home ... it was super calm for a "brides" home.  But every now and then, you'd hear a burst of laughter, and you knew that this was going to be a very special day.  That, and her dress being the most lovely shade of pale blue.

The limo came and we headed off to Milner, where the quaintest church in the whole valley stands.

The church was packed - and the ceremony was simple and unique, with the bridesmaids walking in to Tom Petty ... and when it was Katherine's special moment - instead of music, the congregation stood and clapped.  It was so celebratory ..., I love it when a ceremony reflects the couple so well.

It was a simple, short ceremony - and afterwards, it was a huge love fest ... with everyone smiling and hugging.  It was everything a wedding is supposed to be ...

And after everyone got their "congrats" in, we headed off ... Now - I was CERTAIN that this group would love an edgy backdrop, but no.  Katherine had her heart set on two locations ... a wide open field, and a century old house.  So off to the field we went ...

And this group ... they were SO fun!!

... then a quick drive over to the house.

Oh, there is more to tell ... more images to see.  But that's a pretty long blogpost already *grin*, no?  35 images??? Well ... you'll have to call Brad and Katherine, and invite yourself over to see the rest *wink*.  Oh, she's gonna LOVE that I said that *laughing* ...

Brad and Katherine, if your day is any reflection of what your lives together will be, it will be full of laughter, family and love.  I wish you all of this and more, and thank you for trusting me with your special day.

  1. Love it! What a great job you did capturing the essence of B&K! I think K is a modern day Scarlett O'Hara...simply stunning!

  2. I love the picture of the groom with the grandma! And the black and white one of them sitting on the stairs totally looks like it was pulled from the 1940s (reminds me of some pictures I've seen of my grandparents). So great, Tawn!
