[weddings: Joel & Avin Pt4.]

... part FOUR.

... so after a really fun time getting the "in betweens" done, we rushed over to the Abbotsford City Hall for the family-session.

It was cold ... not sure why they tested the water *grin*.

This necklace had incredible sentimental value.  It had been in the family for generations - and I'm afraid I don't remember quite how far back exactly - but I believe it was back to the 1700's.  Avin proudly wore it for all her family photos ...

These were two large families - and there was a lot of groupings with special people.  I can't pick and choose *grin* - so I've just chosen the two immediate families to show ...

After the family pics, we were to head straight to the reception.  We were BANG on time - until ... well.  The car that Joel and Avin were in didn't start.  Everyone had left, except for me - which meant I got to be their chauffeur.  They all piled into my car and I felt so privileged.  I mean - really.  Who gets to spend THIS kind of time with the bride and groom?  I love my job ...

I snapped this pic - just as a little reminder *grin*.

The venue was lovely - bright and cheery.  I loved the chinese lanterns - and the guests - they always make a party, a party *grin*.

Joel's sisters sang ...

I didn't stay long - but what I did see and hear such wonderful things ... Avin, Joel, what an immense privilege it was to be a part of your celebration.  Your story has touched me so much, and I pray so much blessing on your lives as you continue to put Him first in all you do!

Thank you for choosing me *smile*.

[Weddings: Joel & Avin Pt 3]

... part 3.

Well ... the rain held off - and it felt like we had all the time in the world.  The "in between" pics is the place where a photographer can afford to be edgy ... As I prefer candid-style photography during the actual event, this part of the day lets us all exercise our creative juices.

We left the church with the plan of heading straight to Fort Langley ...

So.  Let's see.  There was sunshine.  A handsome groom.  A stunning bride.  And a street that went off to neverland.

Perfect.

We didn't quite make it straight to Fort Langley ...

... Joel is not afraid.  Seriously not afraid.  He'll break into song at any given moment - I believe this time it was "Everything I Do, I Do It For You."  And he didn't just sing the verse ... oh no.  The verse, the chorus, the bridge, back to chorus ... He was one happy guy.

I know I say it a lot - and I'm sincere every time.  But these images ... this couple ... some of my absolute faves ...

I mean ... REEEEEALLY.  Are you kidding me, Avin??  Stop-traffic-stunning.

After the random street in Langley ... we headed back towards Fort Langley where the rest of the bridal party was waiting ... oh.  But wait.  There's a field ... let's pull over, put on our hazzards and ignore the honking and swerving.

Instead of city chaos - it looked like we were in the middle of no where ...

And these two acted like they were all alone too ... hey, guys.  I'm still here *grin*.

Well, we eventually got to Fort Langley where - yes - the Cranberry Festival was being held.  That meant road closures, a bazillion people, busyness, craziness ... and the light at the end of the day was leaving.  But all was well ... this gang was still all smiles ...

... some in the bridal party even stopped to get freshly made kettle corn, in the true spirit of the festivities.  And what do you do when you accidentally spill the just-bought-popcorn in the middle of the street - as a multitude of people stand and watch you photograph a bridal party?  Why, you get down on the ground and take a picture.  Right?

... we were done the "inbetweens" and needed to head to Abbotsford quickly.  The two families were waiting for their photo session with Joel and Avin at City Hall ... and there was also a reception to get to ...

And yes.   My camera never stops.

I didn't stay long for the reception ... but I'll have a small post on a chosen few family pics and some moments I was able to snap in the first bit of the reception ...  Come back for the conclusion of "Joel and Avin."  Wow.  That sounds like a soap opera, no?

[weddings: Joel & Avin Pt2]

... part 2.

This couple's heart is for all things Godly.  And their ceremony reflected that so very well.  The music was reverent and joyful - with lyrics of promise and praise.

Avin came down the isle in all of her beauty, as Joel tried to be strong.  But Joel is a lovely man, and not ashamed to show his joy through his tears ...

Worship was an important part of this Christian ceremony ... the music was so lovely.

And their vows were thought out and prepared ... words full of commitment and gratitude - very powerful, very real.

And when they were announced as Mr. and Mrs., the place erupted.  And I think these two had a hard time containing themselves *grin* ...

They immediately hosted a "stand up" reception to honour those guests who came to celebrate with them.  It was a casual party - the best kind - and Joel and Avin spent their time just enjoying everyone who had come out ...

... and then off to the "in between" pics.  And my oh my, did we have a good time.  That's coming up next ... come back for more - soon *grin*!
