[wedding: Lee & Jenna]

A beautiful May day.  A super cute couple.  And a wedding.

Oh ... and me.  I was there too *grin*.

I had met Lee and Jenna a few months back, after having the pleasure of photographing a couple that they knew - you might remember them *wink* - Wayne and Chelsea.

L&J were super fun to work with, back when we hung out together during the engagement shoot.  I could hardly wait to get this day started ....

It began at Jenna's home - and all the bustle that entails.  The bridesmaids were so sweet, and the mood was light and brimming with excitement.

I always love seeing the family dynamics on a wedding day ... watching parents and siblings go through those moments is always such a special thing.  Jenna's parents were enjoying all of it - very relaxed, full of joy for their daughter, and you couldn't wipe the smile off of their faces ...

The ceremony was in Cloverdale, and the reception in Fort Langley.  It was a traditional service, with beautiful original elements - one being tying a "cord of three strands" representing the couple's relationship with God.

After the family shoot, wee had a whole bunch of time in between, so we headed to Derby Reach and took advantage of the incredible surroundings.

... and then there was the car.  Oh, the car that made every man stop and stare.

Jenna was all smiles, and I knew that her heart was to document this special day.  Her love for Lee was thick and warm, and his for her was full of kindness and gentleness.  He was always making sure she was doing alright with her high shoes, and she would pull him in for a quick kiss whenever she could ... have you noticed a lot of kissing pics?  There was a whole lotta kissing going on *grin* ...

I didn't stay long for the reception ... but you could tell it was going to be a PAR-TAY.

Lee and Jenna, what a privilege to share your day with you ... you were so great to work with, so helpful and easy going.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it!

[family portraits: Scott & Celina]

Life is a funny thing ... it seems to be full of circles, full of being right back where you started.

Scott and Celina are those people for me.  I have so many memories of them both as we were growing up, even though our lives never completely entwined.  Scott was the nicest guy - I remember going skiing with our youth group when I was 14.  He was the only one who made sure I wasn't left stranded to my death - when he was more than capable of black diamonding it with the rest of them ...  And Celina I met at summer camp, she was close friends with a girl I had known as a child - and I was mezmorized by her confidence, beauty and stature.

And here we are - almost a lifetime later - and I'm taking photos of their family in a field.  How funny life is!

They were was such a pleasure, super easy going - full of little chuckles and sweet jeering between each other.  Their girls were beyond polite ... the oldest daughter with her hip style and the youngest with her shy smile, I knew it was going to be a great shoot ...

And Celina was game for anything ... when I asked he what kind of images she was wanting, she laughed and said, "Whatever you do, I'm sure I'll love."  Now THAT's giving a photographer some room ... and I really couldn't go wrong with these four.

The photoshoot was so relaxed - every time I suggested another location, another pose, another another another - they all just moved into position and put on their modelling faces.

So THANK YOU Scott & Celina ... it's always such a privilege to be entrusted with capturing life moments with my camera.  But sometimes it means even just that much more when it's someone you've known forever ...

[family portraits: Matt, Tracy & Kids]

Now, for the ones who made it all happen ... Matt & Tracy.

M&T are friends who have booked me twice this year - I did a small family shoot for them back in the fall.  Tracy was "with child" *grin* and the glow off of her was almost so bright, you had to wear shades to look directly at her.  But now, the little one is here - and he ain't so little ... James is a handsome little guy - and Tracy assured me that he would be full of smiles - but alas, he was far more serious on the day of our photoshoot *grin* ...

And Matt & Tracy's girls are so sweet ... and with both mom & dad's good looks, my camera has fallen in love with them ...

And together - the moments were priceless ...

They are such a beautiful family ... two little girls, and a little man.  Matt and Tracy are so blessed.  And I'm pretty sure the glow that comes from them, is from knowing just how blessed they really are.

Thanks M&T ... you guys are not only wonderful clients - you are wonderful friends *smile*.

Awwwwe.  Isn't that nice?
