[portraits: Josiah]

Josiah is the laughter in our home. He is the leader, the one who isn't afraid to try anything.  He's the one who will do pretty much anything to get a smile, and tries even harder if you're crying.  He's the one who loves cuddles on the couch and will lie with you for hours, if you let him.  He's the one who doesn't care if he knows the words, he's gonna sing anyways and the one who would take one toy car over a million other non-toy-cars.  He's the one who will take a mouthful of something he thinks he won't like at dinner time, and still smile and say it's good - even if he thinks it isn't.  He has my heart too.

[portraits: Mattias]

Mattias is our first born. He's the one that cries when he thinks someone else is sad; the one who makes sure everyone is included.  He's the one who randomly invites people over for dinner, people we don't even know.  He's the one who thinks we should always give one more can to the Food Drive, and that needs at least two sets of hugs and kisses when we leave.  He's the one who sings at the top of his lungs in any store we're in - and in this shoot as well.  He's the one who continues to teach me compassion and is a reminder of the good in all people.  He has my heart.

[newborn: Holiday Hat]

I am waiting for a few babies to be born still ... come ON babies!!  So, in the meantime, I continue to experiment and refine this art called photography. 

A friend of mine makes these hats - and I asked for this one to go with Katia's Christmas dress.  I'm excited to help her out with photographing her fantastic work, while my little wee one gets to model them too.  If you're interested, you can check out my friend's site ... but beware - these hats are ADDICTING *smile*.
